Selina Chapman

Registered Psychologist

I'm Selina, a registered psychologist with experience supporting individuals across the lifespan, addressing a range of needs and working with diverse backgrounds. I've also worked on the Central Coast with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. My family are proud Darkinung and Awabakal people living on Darkinung country, and I have an Australian European cultural background. I'm trained in culturally safe practices and assessments, including understanding cultural safety, Aboriginal mental health, and social-emotional wellbeing.

I have experience and training in working with multiple modalities, across a range of presentations, including trauma, domestic violence, drug and alcohol dependence, anxiety, depression, loneliness, hoarding, personality disorders, neurodiversity, suicide intervention, sexuality diversity, significant life changes, social-emotional learning, family dynamics, and returning to work.

I'm passionate about working with the Central Coast community, supporting and working collaboratively together for empowerment and positive change. I have a special interest in trauma-informed care, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, mindfulness, and meditation for mind-body balance.

I'm always learning and looking to expand my skills and knowledge in culture, art, philosophy, and fishing.
