Leanne Brooke

Registered Psychologist

Leanne is a Registered Psychologist with a background in teaching and school psychology. She has extensive experience working with families, educators and other professionals, providing assessment, counselling and case management to young people and their families.

Leanne has experience working with neurodiverse young people who live with ADHD, ASD, giftedness, learning difficulties and associated issues. She is neuro-affirming and an ally of the LGBTIQ+ community.

As a former primary school teacher, Leanne has a strong educational psychology background, and applies a holistic lense to of learning difficulties, intellectual disabilities and behaviour issues. She has special interest in helping people understand their unique strengths via the assessment process and facilitating the discovery of strategies to overcome difficulties.

Leanne works in a compassionate and gentle manner with individuals who are experiencing emotional distress, grief, anxiety, panic symptoms and depression. She has considerable experience working with young people who have lost hope and are experiencing suicidal ideation and/or self-injurious behaviour. Leanne has trained in several therapy modalities including DBT, CBT, ACT and is continually learning new ways to support people in need.

Leanne currently practices on a Saturday for therapy only, but is able to refer on for assessments.

In her spare time, Leanne enjoys spending time with family, crochet, reading and holidays. She is a connoisseur of all things beautiful and looks for the good in everyone and everything.
